                                          23nd Annual Chili Cook-Off

                                                      October 6, 2007    

                          Continental Breakfast for Cooks & Cook's Meeting at 10:00 AM

For local "Open Chili" competition

For Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI) competition

  • Only local participants will be allowed in the Open Category
  • There will not be a prize for the     Hottest Chili
  • Participants agree to follow all CASI rules. For a list of these rules, go to the CASI web site: WWW.chili.org
  • Participants agree to provide at least 30 pounds (4-5 gallons) of their chili and any related condiments
  • We ask participants provide chili for the public, but it is not mandatory. (This chili does not have to be made on-site the day of the event.)
  • We have people to serve the chili. If you need help serving, please notify us in advance.
  • Cooks registration and continental breakfast start at 10:00 AM. You must attend.
  • Entry fee has been waived for local Open Competition this year.

  • Each cooking team will receive 8 tickets for cooks & guests.
  • Each cooking team will receive 4 tickets for cooks & guests.
  • Turn in chili at judges table for "Celebrity Judging". This will take place at 11:30 a.m.
  • We will try to contact late cooks, but it is your responsibility to turn in chili on time
  • TURN-IN TIME FOR JUDGING  is     12:30p.m.

  • Chili will be judged using cup provided.

·  The Kiwanis Club will provide beer and soft drinks  to cooks.
